We’re Mark, Tiffani, Lucy (9/99), and Dexter (8/01). We’ve just moved to Wellington, New Zealand for a year or two (no longer than two, I promise!) We’re just your basic unschooling, hopefully adopting, stay-at-home-mothering, animating fathering, good-times-loving family of 4!
We used to live on Bowen Island, BC, Canada, which is a 20 minute ferry ride from North Vancouver, which is a 20 minute drive from regular Vancouver. It’s an amazing place to live, aside from Mark’s daily commute into Vancouver to his job as an animator. The kids and I travelled to Vancouver once or twice a week, to get our fill of our friends and the city, and for me to fulfill my monthly duties as a La Leche League Leader. Since we got to stay on Bowen most of the time, the kids and I were enjoying our days with other homelearning families, or on our own, hiking, going to the beach, playing in the woods, or just hanging at home with our cuddly cats, Bones and Delilah. I’m not sure we’ll ever return to Bowen in the near future, but I feel blessed to have lived there for a short while, and maybe one day we’ll be back for good…
We were also up to our eyeballs in trying to adopt from Africa for over two years, but that never panned out… in the future we hope to still adopt from somewhere…sometime… but we shall see where life takes us!
cheers!

thanks Kellie! your blog is equally lovely!
Hi, I am from MN and am hoping to adopt two special needs kids from Uganda. One of them from Sanyu Babies Home. I am from the states and have adopted 10 kids over the last 20 years from here. But I am lost in the best and least expensive way to do an identified adoption from Uganda. Have any tips for me?

Hi there Lise! I emailed you 🙂 best wishes with your next adoptions!
What camera do you use??? Your pictures are gorgeous! Mine never turn out so beautiful!
why thank you! it’s not bad for a cheapie… it’s a Sony cyber-shot DSC-H9 if that part is necessary… we loved it when we first got it as it was such a step up from our last camera, but we have lots of friends with amazing cameras that give such depth and gorgeous color, we’ve been craving (yet not going to be buying anytime soon) a super camera. but I needed your little reminder that our little guy does a pretty fantastic job, so thanks for the comment!! I will admit that I do my best to move the action into better light, much to the dismay of my family :).
Hi Tiffany, just wanted to tell you how much I look forward to your blogs…… it is very strange as I have never met you! Mark and I went to school together and I saw your link on his facebook page, I have since stopped using facebook, but really look forward to reading your blog and looking at all your pictures.
You have a beautiful family!

Hi, Tiffani! Funny, someone just recommended Ibanda and Isaac to me this week! I would love to hear more about your experience as it unfolds. If things don’t work out for my current situation, I may be hounding you for more information!!

How fun to be living in New Zealand! I love travel pictures and it sounds like you have had a very exciting life since high school. I’m going to add you to my blog roll and say hello from time to time. I have to say…in looking at your pictures, you look the same as you did in high school. That is just crazy….lucky you!!
